Principle of spring boot automatic configuration

Article reference source
I'll start with the following principles when the startup class starts. It's also an entry point for my own learning!
First, there is an annotation @ SpringbootApplication on the startup class. This annotation is a composite annotation or derived annotation, which contains three annotations:

@Target(ElementType.TYPE)
@Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)
@Documented
@Inherited
@SpringBootConfiguration
@EnableAutoConfiguration
@ComponentScan(excludeFilters = {
		@Filter(type = FilterType.CUSTOM, classes = TypeExcludeFilter.class),
		@Filter(type = FilterType.CUSTOM,
				classes = AutoConfigurationExcludeFilter.class) })
public @interface SpringBootApplication {
  • @Spring boot configuration allows additional bean s to be registered in the context or other configuration classes to be imported
  • @EnableAutoConfiguration starts the auto configuration mechanism of Springboot
  • @ComponentScan scans bean s annotated by @ Component @Service @Controller. The annotation will scan all classes under the package where the class is located by default

Among them, @ EnableAutoConfiguration enables automatic configuration, which is the core annotation of configuration. The source code of this annotation is as follows:

@Target(ElementType.TYPE)
@Retention(RetentionPolicy.RUNTIME)
@Documented
@Inherited
@AutoConfigurationPackage
@Import(AutoConfigurationImportSelector.class)
public @interface EnableAutoConfiguration {

This annotation is also a derived annotation. Its key core function is provided by the annotation @ Importer, which imports autoconfigurationimportselector Class, click to see the source code of this class,
There is a method selectImports(~),

@Override
	public String[] selectImports(AnnotationMetadata annotationMetadata) {
		if (!isEnabled(annotationMetadata)) {
			return NO_IMPORTS;
		}
		AutoConfigurationMetadata autoConfigurationMetadata = AutoConfigurationMetadataLoader
				.loadMetadata(this.beanClassLoader);
		AutoConfigurationEntry autoConfigurationEntry = getAutoConfigurationEntry(
				autoConfigurationMetadata, annotationMetadata);
		return StringUtils.toStringArray(autoConfigurationEntry.getConfigurations());
	}

In this method, you will find meta-inf / spring under all packages in the project jar package of factories.
I'll write an outline of his call path. In fact, I only know the call path (I'll write it briefly below). I don't know the specific meaning of each sentence of code. The key is that I don't think it's necessary for me to understand the detailed source code. It's good to know the general process of realizing automatic configuration. Don't spray if you disagree. You can see the more detailed source code!

selectImports(~)
	--getAutoConfigurationEntry
		--AutoConfigurationImportSelector.getCandidateConfigurations
			--SpringFactoriesLoader.loadFactoryNames
				--loadSpringFactories

For example, there is such a spring in spring-boot-autoconfigure-x.x.x.jar Factories file.
If you only look at this file, you can see that we are familiar with it at ordinary times, such as redis, jdbc, aop and so on.
Moreover, this file exists in the form of key value. For example, we automatically configure this file. The key is org springframework. boot. autoconfigure. Enableautoconfiguration, value is a list of many xxxautoconfiguration class names, which are separated by commas.

@The EnableAutoConfiguration auto configuration annotation is indirectly marked on the startup Class of SpringBoot through @ SpringbootApplication. In Spring application selectImport(..) will be called inside run (~) Method, find the Class corresponding to the fully qualified name of all JavaConfig auto configuration classes, and then load all auto configuration classes into the Spring container.
Take the ServletWebServerFactoryAutoConfiguration configuration class as an example to explain how the properties in the global configuration file take effect, such as server Port = 8081, how does it take effect (of course, there will be a default value without configuration, which comes from org.apache.catalina.startup.Tomcat)
ServletWebServerFactoryAutoConfiguration.java source code

@Configuration
@AutoConfigureOrder(Ordered.HIGHEST_PRECEDENCE)
@ConditionalOnClass(ServletRequest.class)
@ConditionalOnWebApplication(type = Type.SERVLET)
@EnableConfigurationProperties(ServerProperties.class)
@Import({ ServletWebServerFactoryAutoConfiguration.BeanPostProcessorsRegistrar.class,
		ServletWebServerFactoryConfiguration.EmbeddedTomcat.class,
		ServletWebServerFactoryConfiguration.EmbeddedJetty.class,
		ServletWebServerFactoryConfiguration.EmbeddedUndertow.class })
public class ServletWebServerFactoryAutoConfiguration {

There is an annotation @ EnableConfigurationProperties on this class, which turns on the configuration property. The parameter is the ServerProperties class, which is the ultimate goal of habit over configuration.

@ConfigurationProperties(prefix = "server", ignoreUnknownFields = true)
public class ServerProperties {
	/**
	 * Server HTTP port.
	 */
	private Integer port;
	/**
	 * Network address to which the server should bind.
	 */
	private InetAddress address;

This depends on the first few lines.
There is an annotation @ ConfigurationProperties in the class. Its function is to bind properties from the configuration file to the corresponding bean, and @ EnableConfigurationProperties is responsible for importing the bean with bound properties into the spring container. Then all other properties related to this class can be defined in the global configuration file, that is, the classes that really limit which properties we can configure in the configuration file are these xxxproperties classes, which uniquely correspond to the set of properties at the beginning of the prefix keyword defined in the configuration file.
Therefore, configure server in the global configuration file Port = 8081 and other properties are bound to the corresponding xxxproperties configuration entity class through the @ ConfigurationProperties annotation, encapsulated as a bean, and then imported into the Spring container through the @ EnableConfigurationProperties annotation.
Many automatic configuration classes of xxxautoconfiguration are in the form of JavaConfig of Spring container. Their function is to import beans for Spring container, and the properties required by all imported beans are obtained through the beans of xxxProperties.

In fact, when you see it here, you should suddenly realize that if you just start to get a little confused, you should be able to connect with the idea after reading it here. At least I am like this. I just started from the startup class annotation. I looked at the source code step by step and finally found the ServerProperties class. At this time, the idea is a straight line. If you think about it, In fact, it can be easily strung together. I suggest you watch it several times.
Here is an interview summary that can be used. You can refer to it and suggest that you must understand it. Then use this sentence, so that when the interviewer asks in-depth, you can answer it. It can't give the impression that the temporary cramming before the interview has no connotation. I've suffered such a loss.

When Spring Boot starts, meta-inf / Spring will be found through the @ EnableAutoConfiguration annotation All automatic configuration classes in the factories configuration file are loaded, and these automatic configuration classes are named after AutoConfiguration. In fact, it is a Spring container configuration class in the form of JavaConfig. The @ ConfigurationProperties annotation is bound to the corresponding properties in the global configuration file.

Be sure to remember that the meaning of the xxproperties class is: encapsulate the relevant properties in the configuration file; The meaning of the xxxautoconfiguration class is: autoconfiguration class, which is used to add components to the container
